A histogram is a representation of an image derived by counting the color of each pixel. This provides a far more compact overview of the data in an image than knowing the exact value of every pixel.
| To set color settings using a histogram click the Histogram bar in the Options Panel. The Histogram tab will appear. In the Histogram tab, the following parameters are represented:
- Histogram Channel — use this option to select the color channel. You can plot either the luminance of the composite channel (Gray) or the intensity values of an individual channel.
- Histogram Graph – this is a graph of image data. Statistical information about the intensity values of the pixels appears below the histogram. To view information about a specific point on the histogram, place the pointer on that point.
